The Terrace of the Rio de Janeiro Guesthouse is a unique aspect with perhaps one of the best views of Copacabana beach.
With over 100 square meters, the view from terrace and the lounge encompasses all 4km of Copacabana and Leme beaches and the famous promenade, Sugarloaf Mountain to the north, and Fort Copacabana to the south.
The terrace includes a sundeck, with timber chairs and lounge, tables, umbrellas, a gourmet Brazilian BBQ, and bar fridge. You can even cool off after sun bathing under shower on the terrace. This ambience is very conducive to relaxing at sunset, enjoying caiparinhas and other fine beverages, or if you are in the mood, to share in a BBQ with your friends and family.
The mornings are very special, with spectacular sunrises emerging from the Atlantic Ocean (we call this the fire from Africa) presenting an ideal and memorable photo opportunity.
The Rio Guesthouse has a spacious lounge adjoining the terrace, smartly decorated with tropical Brazilian antiques and paintings, an ideal place for your reading moments, or to watch a DVD, or simply chill out with your friends. Our Breakfast is served in the lounge dining area with views to the terrace and the wonderful postcard of Copacabana beach. You can also have your breakfast on the terrace outside if you prefer. There is also a functional kitchen strategically located for you to keep your own beverages, and if you like, cook something for yourself. A stereo is also provided for moments of listening pleasure. One thing for sure, you are never bored at the Rio de Janeiro Guesthouse, and the terrace is a focal point for our guests to relax and unwind after a day of exploring Rio de Janeiro, or simply to sunbathe and catch some sun.
